Job Title: Chinese Commis I

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chinese Commis I with specialized skills in sushi and dim sum preparation to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a hotel industry background, a strong culinary foundation, and a commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert preparation of sushi and dim sum, along with other Chinese and pan-Asian dishes, following standardized recipes and kitchen guidelines.
• Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients accurately for consistent food quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times, adhering to sanitation standards.
• Perform mise en place and practice efficient stock rotation to ensure ingredient availability and reduce wastage.
• Follow all food safety protocols for the safe handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients.
• Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service, especially during peak hours.
• Monitor food quality, taste, presentation, and portion sizes, ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sushi and dim sum preparation.
• Background in the hotel industry (mandatory).
• Residency in Kolkata (mandatory).
• Willingness to undergo a trial cooking test.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17, ₹20,000.00 per month
