Opportunity Summary

You will join a global R&D team focused on AccuRoute, our on-premise Windows server and desktop product used by enterprises to securely capture, process, convert and route high-volume documents. You will be part of a tight, experienced team that owns several core components of the AccuRoute platform. The work spans our Capture and Workflow Engines, the Windows client tools that integrate with devices and scanners, and the server-side services responsible for handling complex routing rules, OCR, transformation, and delivery to downstream systems. Customers rely on AccuRoute to streamline and automate critical document-intensive processes at scale, so engineering work often sits at the intersection of performance, reliability, and security.

This team is hands-on, collaborative, and deeply familiar with the long-standing architecture of the product, offering a strong environment to contribute, modernize, and help shape the future of the platform.

 What would you do?

• Enhance and support the document capture, transformation, and routing engines, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across desktop, server, and integration points to ensure stable, scalable operation for enterprise customers.
• Collaborate closely with a small, senior engineering team to design solutions, share knowledge, and evolve the platform.
• Participate in code reviews to support quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across the codebase.
• Contribute to ongoing modernization efforts, technical upgrades, and architectural improvements within the product.

The following skills are needed for this role.

Experience

· –5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.

· At least 1 year of hands-on experience with C++ and C# in a production environment.

· Strong experience working in Windows-based development environments, including Windows Server.

· Working knowledge of distributed communication models such as DCOM or similar technologies.

· Experience working within Agile development methodologies such as Scrum.

· Experience using version control systems such as Git.

· Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and work within complex or legacy system architectures.

· Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively across one or more concurrent projects.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA, product owners, and other stakeholders.

· Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt, and work with evolving tools, frameworks, and technologies.

Primary Skills

· Proficiency in C++ and C#, with experience working in large, mature codebases.

· Experience with the .NET Framework; exposure to .NET Core is a plus.

· Familiarity with server-side service development and system integration points.

· Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and standard engineering practices.

· Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement solutions for moderately complex technical challenges.

Secondary Skills (nice to have)

· Experience participating in and contributing to code reviews; exposure to leading code reviews is a plus.

· Ability to contribute to technical or design discussions and translate requirements into implementable solutions.

· Experience implementing components of larger software systems within established architectures.

· Demonstrated initiative and ownership in task planning and execution.

· Ability to support or mentor more junior team members in an informal or opportunistic manner.

· Experience documenting development work, processes, and technical specifications as needed.

· Comfort working across multiple projects or features simultaneously.

· Ability to communicate technical concepts to a moderately technical audience, including cross-functional partners.

· Familiarity with internal tools or metrics systems (for example, time tracking or work management tools) and an understanding of their importance in delivery environments.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.

This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
