Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Embedded Firmware Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience in developing robust and efficient firmware for microcontroller-based systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in low-level embedded programming, communication protocols, and real-time systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready firmware for embedded products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for 32-bit microcontroller platforms
  • Collaborate with hardware and system engineers to define firmware architecture and interfaces
  • Develop and optimize peripheral drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB)
  • Implement real-time firmware using bare-metal programming techniques
  • Write reusable, efficient, and well-documented C/C++ code
  • Perform system-level debugging using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG
  • Participate in code reviews, version control, and documentation processes
  • Work on advanced firmware features including OTA updates, bootloader integration, and power management

Core Skill Set:

  • Strong hands-on experience with embedded firmware development (5–7 years)
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded programming best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of microcontroller architectures (e.g., STM32, PIC, ATSAM, ESP32)
  • Expertise in communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, Modbus, MQTT, BLE, Wi-Fi
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, version control systems (Git), and build environments
  • Experience with bootloader design, firmware updates, and memory management
  • Solid understanding of hardware schematics and close collaboration with hardware teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to IoT platforms and cloud integration
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and scripting (Python)
  • Familiarity with OTA updates and secure boot mechanisms
  • Basic knowledge of PCB design tools like Altium or Eagle

Must-Have Criteria:

  • 5–7 years of proven embedded firmware development experience
  • Strong expertise in microcontroller programming and communication protocols
  • Hands-on experience with real-time and bare-metal firmware design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded debugging tools
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional hardware and software teams
