Salary range: Rs Rs ie INR 12-25 LPA)We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our core products and services. The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud technologies, and has a proven track record of building reliable distributed systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and drive engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Backend Development & System Design

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build scalable, resilient, and high-throughput systems capable of handling complex business logic.
  • Participate in solution architecture discussions, evaluate design trade-offs, and implement best-fit solutions for performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure low-latency, high-availability services.

Cloud Development (AWS)

  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on AWS using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using AWS-native tools or industry-standard solutions.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure follows best practices for security, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

  • Work closely with product managers, frontend teams, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of features.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and uphold coding standards and best engineering practices.

Quality Assurance & DevOps

  • Write clean, well-structured, and testable code adhering to SOLID principles and industry-standard design patterns.
  • Create unit tests, integration tests, and support automated testing frameworks to ensure code reliability.
  • Monitor production systems, perform root-cause analysis during incidents, and proactively improve system stability and observability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 4–7 years of experience as a Backend or Full Stack Engineer with strong backend orientation.
  • Expertise in Java (preferably Java 8/11+), including multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and collections.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Proven experience deploying and managing backend systems on AWS cloud.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design, event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and container orchestration is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, debugging ability, and a mindset for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
