Role & responsibilities

  • Installation: Install electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and apparatus in buildings or facilities.
  • Repair & Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and components to maintain functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and fix electrical malfunctions, safety hazards, and system breakdowns.
  • Compliance: Adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC), state and local building regulations, and company safety procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours billed.
  • System Testing: Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning after installation or repair.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education/Training: A technical high school certificate or diploma in electrical systems, or training through a formal apprenticeship program.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skillful use of various electrical tools and electronic test equipment.
  • Safety Awareness: A commitment to safety procedures and a thorough knowledge of safety management.
