C&P LV Schematic Engineer

Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Design Engineer Will be responsible for transla ng high-level system requirements into
detailed LV schema cs for HVDC control and protec on systems, including transformers Protec on
Cubicle, switchgear, Marshalling, distribu on Board, AC Yard , Ac protec on , Control & monitoring
Cubicle Control & Protec on panels
 U lize Engineering Base so ware to design electrical control and protec on cubicles electrical
schema cs, including elementary diagrams, panel layouts, general arrangement drawings (GA),
terminal block diagrams, and wiring diagrams based on project requirements and specifica ons with
industry standards and client requirements.
 Ensure all designs conform to project technical specifica ons, industry standards (e.g., IEC/ANSI), and
internal quality procedures.
 Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project goals and integrate
technical requirements into the cubicle design.
 Analysing Protec on Relays (IEDs) used in HVDC substa ons (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE), & integrate
their specific configura on data into schema cs.
 Perform thorough self-checking and peer reviews of schema cs to ensure compliance with project
specifica ons, na onal/interna onal standards (e.g., IEC 61850 principles), and safety regula ons.
 Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and technical documenta on for cubicle designs.
 Develop comprehensive technical specifica ons for the cubicle's design and the materials used in its
construc on
 Clear understanding on the different Electrical component & its usage to u lize in the schema cs
 Well aware of the latest Electrical materials in the market to u lize & op mize the design
 Support the manufacturing and installa on teams during the produc on and assembly phases.

 Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
 Proven experience (8-12 years) in designing, developing, and implemen ng low voltage secondary
systems for power distribu on applica ons.
 Proven experience using Engineering Base (Ebase) for the en re schema c lifecycle, including mul -
user environments.
 Ability to create, manage, and maintain the Ebase database structure and catalogue crea on for
components, ensuring data integrity and standardiza on.
 Exper se in automa c and manual genera on of comprehensive wiring lists, terminal plans, cable
schedules, and bills of materials (BOMs) directly from Ebase data
 Strong working knowledge of various Protec on Relays (IEDs) used in HVDC substa ons (e.g.,
Siemens, ABB, GE)
 Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribu on fundamentals, and low voltage
equipment.
 Exper se in preparing comprehensive, compliant, and op mized schema cs for HVDC control,
interlocking, metering, and protec on cubicles.
 Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA.
 Project management skills and the ability to priori ze tasks to meet project deadlines.
