Job Description :

Category & Competitor Audit and ideation:

This will involve for the designer to study the brief and analyze what other brands are doing local and international. Understanding trends and preparing a list of initial ideas to present during Brainstorm meeting

Product Conceptualization:

•Detailed Concept presentation with sketches, references, visual representation, and explanation - covering all aspects of the product (Category, age group, learning/Skill being imparted to child, USP or Innovation etc.)

•Capture source of thought or route from where the design concept has come about – represent through mood boards or reference images, videos etc.

•Capture how the concept passes through various product filters as specified by WinMagic Toys

•Specification of the material, Dimensions, quantity of all elements, contents comprising of the entire product unit to be captured

•Specification on how the concept can be adapted to multiple licenses – (This step will require studying and research on content and all licenses)

Product design - 3D Renders:

•3D design to visualize concept - 3D renders of product and all components within the product along with the manuals or instructions sheets

•All Material proposed will have to be BIS, ASTM and EN-71 complaint (Details to be shared by WinMagic Product team)

•Design and content/copy for Project/Experiment/Product assembly instruction sheets – adapted for each license as required

•Adaptation of core concepts to respective licenses with similar detailing as prescribed for Core concept design.

•Making amends as and when required basis feedback from teams

Packaging Design and innovation :

•Present Innovative and unique Packaging structure layout options and ideas, relevant to concept, theme or Licenses along with Reference images, videos etc.

•3D rendering of the product and content placement inside and outer Packaging (without graphics) with material and dimension specifications

•Drive and Complete Packaging structure along with packaging design team for packaging production and final product manufacturing.

Prototyping:

•Overseeing and driving 3D Printed and/or Handmade Prototypes of the product and Packaging for approval

•Iterations on Prototyping as per feedback from WinMagic Toys team

•Up to 2 prototypes to be created for testing and approvals before going into final production

•Making amends as and when required basis feedback from teams after play testing

Manufacturing Process:

•Product to be Manufacture ready within 2 months of briefing

•Provide all relevant 3D and 2D design and AW files as and where needed in print/production ready formats as required by various vendors – packaging and factories

•Overseeing production and proofing wherever needed

•Liaising with Production team of WinMagic Toys and the factory until the final production run to ensure all operations are smooth and guide the factory on all aspects of Production and desired product

•Suggest vendors/manufacturers wherever required for small components, Electronic parts etc.
