Job Description
Grace is seeking a Supply Planning Specialist to join our S&OP team. This role reports to the Director – Supply and Operational Planning located at our Chennai office.
Grace's Supply Planning Specialist plays a critical role in our integrated planning and decision-making process. This position proactively manages and communicates forward-looking supply projections based on commercial demand forecasts to ensure exceptional customer service and business predictability. The role involves developing tactical supply plans and coordinating execution with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Logistics, and Procurement. You'll be part of a collaborative, performance-driven culture that values innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing Business Intelligence capabilities to streamline reporting and reduce manual labor to pull data from the different systems. Must convert large amount of information into facts to support decision making process for Demand, Supply and Inventory planning.
- Partner on and drive the tactical development and execution of a rolling 18-month supply plan, align tactical supply plans that include weekly details with strategic supply plans that describe monthly projected supply targets for a rolling 18-month planning horizon.
- Work with Operations to develop and maintain effective Plant Product Wheels to optimize service, working capital, and operating efficiencies.
- Maintain feasible tactical Supply Plans that reflect manufacturing capabilities, link to detailed execution schedules, and are adjusted for operational dynamics (e.g. unplanned outages).
- Manage production and inventory decisions in collaboration with Strategic Supply Planners, Demand Planning Leads, and Sales Ops Leads, including quantity and location.
- Monitor constraints and work with Operations to develop mitigation plans to align manufacturing and supply capabilities with strategic supply plans and demand.
- Collect and organize data to support performance measurement (i.e. Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Business Results of S&OP Plans.).
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree, in Business or related field; or equivalent experience
- 5 - 7 years' Supply Planning experience
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) experience desired
- Business Analytics experience
- Experience in an operations role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead/manage within the matrix organization and influence without authority
- Understanding of Supply Planning and Operations
- Sense of urgency and bias towards action
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to identify and analyze opportunities for improving financial drivers throughout supply chain
