Manager - SAP CO Module

Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Manager SAP CO (Controlling) who will lead end-to-end SAP CO implementations, optimizations, and advisory engagements across global business units. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional and technical expertise in SAP CO modules (Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Product Costing, Internal Orders, COPA, etc.), coupled with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will serve as a trusted advisor and project leader, driving transformation initiatives that align business strategy with SAP solutions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Lead full-cycle SAP CO implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects, ensuring delivery excellence within time and budget.

- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective SAP CO solutions.

- Provide expert guidance on SAP CO configuration, business process design, and integration with FI, MM, PP, and SD modules.

- Drive management reporting and cost analytics, ensuring accurate data flow between controlling and financial modules.

- Lead workshops with business users to capture requirements and design process improvements leveraging SAP capabilities.

- Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, and recommend process enhancements for optimal cost control and profitability tracking.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements within the SAP ecosystem.

- Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with global stakeholders, offshore teams, and third-party vendors.

- Develop and maintain project documentation including blueprints, functional specs, test cases, and training materials.

- Provide post-implementation support and drive continuous improvement in SAP CO-related processes.

- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills :

Must-Have Skills :

years of total experience, including 8 years of hands-on SAP CO (Controlling) experience.

- Strong expertise in Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing (PC), COPA (Costing- & Account-based), and Profit Center Accounting (PCA).

- Experience in S/4HANA environments (preferably S/4HANA Finance).

- Deep understanding of integration between CO and FI/MM/SD/PP modules.

- Proven ability to lead SAP CO projects, manage timelines, and deliver business outcomes.

- Strong functional knowledge of finance and management accounting processes.

- Proficiency in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.

- Experience in working with onshore/offshore delivery models and multi-location teams.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Knowledge of Group Reporting, SAP BPC, or SAP Analytics Cloud integration.

- Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and Agile project delivery.

- SAP Certification in CO or S/4HANA Finance (preferred).

- Domain background in Manufacturing, Retail, or Financial Services.

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Information Technology.

- MBA (Finance) or Chartered Accountant (CA) background is a plus.

- SAP Certified Application Professional Management Accounting (CO) preferred.
