We are seeking a Map QA Analyst to support a large-scale EDI migration project from Axway to IBM ITX (Transformation Extender). The ideal candidate will have prior experience in testing EDI maps and transformations, a solid understanding of EDI standards and data validation, and the ability to compare outputs between source and target maps as per the defined specifications.

This role is ideal for QA professionals with hands-on EDI testing experience who understand how EDI maps work, even if they are not experts in Axway or ITX development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review RDS (Requirements Design Specifications) and existing Axway map documentation to understand the expected data transformation logic.
  • Validate ITX maps to ensure they have been correctly developed according to the Axway specifications and RDS.
  • Perform functional, data, and regression testing on migrated maps.
  • Verify that inbound and outbound EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 810, 856, etc.) conform to standard formats and meet partner-specific requirements.
  • Analyze test results, identify mapping discrepancies, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Perform end-to-end validation across staging and QA environments to ensure data consistency.
  • Maintain detailed QA documentation, including test cases, validation checklists, and defect reports.
  • Participate in QA review meetings and provide status updates on testing progress and defect closures.

Required Skills & Experience

  • experience in EDI QA / Map Testing / Data Validation.
  • Understanding of how EDI maps work (input-to-output transformation flow).
  • Exposure to EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and related transactions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying data mismatches.
  • Experience using QA/test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
  • Familiarity with flat files, XML, CSV, and EDI formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow mapping specifications.

Good to Have (Optional)

  • Basic knowledge of IBM ITX, Sterling Integrator (SI), or Axway Mapping Services.
  • Exposure to migration or transformation projects (e.g., Axway ITX or Gentran ITX).
  • Familiarity with B2B/EDI integration concepts.
