  • Programming Expertise: Expert in C++, Java, and Kotlin, with a strong command of embedded systems programming.
  • Cloud Integration: Experience with integrating automotive systems with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for services such as OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, telematics, and vehicle data storage.
  • Proven Expertise in VHAL, HAL layers, and Power Management concepts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and integrating Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules, including handling protocol stacks, security, and co-existence challenges in an automotive environment.
  • Proficiency in defining and implementing AIDL (Android Interface Definition Language) interfaces for robust inter-process communication (IPC) between system services and applications..
  • Integration: Ensure seamless integration of Android Auto with vehicle-specific features and signals, including troubleshooting and resolving integration issues.
  • Vehicle Signal Management: In-depth understanding of vehicle signal management and in-vehicle networking, such as CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and MOST.
  • Automotive Infotainment: Proven track record as a solution architect for infotainment projects from the RFP stage to SOP (Start of Production).
  • Deep OS & Framework Expertise:
  • Linux-based IVI systems: Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, kernel, and board support packages (BSPs).
  • Android-based Platforms: Expert knowledge of the Android framework, Android Automotive OS (AAOS), and the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) platform architecture.
  • Knowledge of QNX: Hands-on experience with QNX and hypervisor environments.
  • Automotive Standards & Protocols: Expertise in vehicle communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet (AVB/TSN), LIN, and MOST, with the ability to apply them in real-world use cases.
  • Software Design & Architecture:
  • Expertise in defining component interactions and integration within a system and with external systems.
  • Proficiency in applying communication middleware for IPC/RPC, including specifying interfaces using Interface Definition Language (IDL).
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • System Integration & Debugging: Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug complex, distributed embedded systems.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills to lead technical teams, and excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with operating systems like Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Embedded Linux, and QNX.

Good to Have Skills

  • Functional Safety & Cybersecurity: Knowledge of functional safety (ISO and automotive cybersecurity standards.
  • Certification & Compliance: Experience with Google Automotive Services (GAS) certification and Android CTS/VTS compliance.
  • Virtualization: Hands-on experience with hypervisors and virtualization technologies for in-vehicle environments.
  • Testing: Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for embedded systems and vehicle integration.
  • AI/ML: Familiarity with the use of AI/ML for personalized infotainment experiences, such as voice recognition, predictive analytics, and personalization engines.
  • Development Practices: Experience with agile software development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for embedded systems.
  • Tools: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, and other industry-standard tools.
