Microbiologist

Canara Farms is building India's first
clinically credible psychobiotic dairy products
— that go beyond digestion into mood, stress, energy, and skin health.

We're looking for an experienced microbiologist to lead our probiotic R&D program. You'll be at the heart of our innovation, working on strain selection, stability testing, and gut–brain axis research, and turning science into consumer-ready products.

What you'll do:

• Drive strain discovery and development (Lactobacillus, Bifidobacteria, emerging psychobiotics).
• Integrate psychobiotics into dairy format (yoghurt).
• Build protocols for CFU counts, shelf stability, and clinical validation.
• Partner with Manipal, CROs, and clinical researchers on trials.
• Set up internal lab SOPs.

What we're looking for:

• MSc/PhD in Microbiology, Food Technology & Processing.
• 2+ years' applied R&D experience in probiotics/functional foods.
• Hands-on with microbial assays, stability testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Passion for translating cutting-edge microbiome science into products.
