Job Description:

Under direct supervision, the Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate posting and imaging of new claims. This includes accessing various systems, both internal and external, for eligibility. Other assignments can include managing incoming email inboxes, bulk uploading of claims and managing automated claims kick outs.

The essential functions and responsibilities of this job position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Timely and accurately posts new claims in the Administrative System within established turnaround time
  • Codes incomplete claims as appropriate
  • Research claims eligibility to ensure the claim belongs to DRMS prior to posting.
  • Reaches out to claims team with any specific questions when a claim cannot be identified.
  • Forwards claims to appropriate location as needed.
  • Uses identified process to assign a specified team to each new claim
  • Works collaboratively with Policy and Renewal Specialists to facilitate the accurate posting of claims
  • Assists in maintaining the manuals and job aids, as new procedures are developed and best practices are identified
  • Maintains an understanding of the different client relationships and the related posting requirements
  • Ensures complete and accurate imaging and indexing of new claim and pending claim documentation using the established indexing structure
  • Responsible for any valid indexing corrections on new and pending claim documentation
  • Complete tasks in a self-sufficient manner, maintaining satisfactory production and accuracy guidelines
  • Maintains ERISA and HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with management and response to e-mails coming through the Claims Center e-mail account
  • Assist with management and response to e-mails coming through the SLF Worksite Claims e-mail account
  • Assist with Life Waiver of Premium document requests from Clients
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of work experience required.
  • Graduation is mandatory in any field.
  • Work experience in a customer service-oriented environment preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a pleasant and professional communication style
