Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform cataract assessments, diagnoses, and advanced cataract surgeries, including phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation.
  • Evaluate patient candidacy for cataract surgery, formulate individualized treatment plans, and schedule appropriate intervention methods.
  • Ensure stringent adherence to preoperative and postoperative care protocols, overseeing seamless patient recovery and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to maintain a sterile and efficient operating environment.
  • Manage complex and challenging surgical cases, displaying advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, surgical documentation, and compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide patient education sessions, counseling before and after surgery, and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
