Why this job matters

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP RAR Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong technical and development background to join our Finance Transformation team. This role is pivotal in delivering robust, scalable, and integrated Revenue Accounting solutions in alignment with BT's enterprise architecture and business goals.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP RAR, hands-on development capabilities, and aestablished track record of working on large-scale implementations, preferably in the telecom industry or other complex, high-volume environments. You will be liable for providing technical leadership, guiding design decisions, and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP and non-SAP modules.

What you'll be doing


•    Serve as the technical SME for SAP RAR, leading the design, configuration, and development of RAR solutions.

•    Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

•    Provide hands-on development and troubleshooting Assistance when required, including enhancements, customizations, and performance tuning.

•    Lead and Assisst integration efforts between SAP RAR and other modules such as SD, FI, BRIM, and external systems.

•    Design and implement reporting solutions from RAR, including standard and custom reports, leveraging tools like SAP Fiori, CDS Views, and BW/4HANA.

•    Ensure compliance with BT's technical standards, security policies, and data governance frameworks.

•    Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, simplifying complex concepts and fostering a shared understanding.

•    Support testing, training, and deployment activities across project phases.

•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and post-go-live support.

Skills Required


•    5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP RAR in a technical/development capacity.

•    Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles.

•    Proven experience in ABAP development, including enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits.

•    Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with modules like SD, FI, BRIM, and external billing systems.

•    Proficiency in data modelling and reporting using CDS Views, Fiori, and/or BW.

•    Experience in telecom industry or large-scale finance transformation projects is highly desirable.

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
