**What the role is all about:**

We're looking for a Senior Engineer (3–5 years' experience) or our Rental Applications team. As a Senior Engineer, you will focus on building and delivering quality technical solutions for customers, contributing code across our Java backend and React frontend stacks. You will play a key hands-on role within a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers to ensure scalable, reliable feature delivery.

In the Rental Applications team, we empower agencies by digitising their day-to-day activities so they can focus on what matters most. Our solutions help agencies find the best tenants faster and more efficiently, all through a compliant, user-friendly experience.

**While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include:**

• Implement technical solutions by contributing code across Java backend and React frontend

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team (Product, Design, Engineering) to deliver business outcomes

• Participate in planning, code reviews, testing, and documentation

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability, distributed systems)

• Work to solve technical problems and deliver features in a maintainable, extensible way

• Share expertise and support other engineers through peer programming, reviews, and knowledge sharing

**Who we're looking for:**

• Hands-on experience developing backend services with Java and Spring Boot a plus)

• Competence with React for frontend development

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices ecosystems

• Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure automation

• Proficient in developing and optimizing relational databases, especially Postgres

• Skilled in building API-driven products

• Good understanding of CI/CD, TDD, modern software delivery and observability

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Product, Design, and other engineers
