Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Agronomist with expertise in strawberry & Blueberry farming to oversee and optimize crop production, plant health, and farm practices. The candidate should have hands-on experience in high-value horticulture, preferably under protected cultivation.

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and implement best practices for strawberry & blueberry cultivation, including variety selection, planting, Irrigation, fertilization, and pest management.
  • Monitor crop health and soil conditions, and provide timely recommendations.
  • Guide farm workers on planting techniques, pruning, and harvesting methods.
  • Maintain detailed records of crop cycles, inputs, and yields.
  • Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to ensure product quality and market alignment.
  • Stay updated with the latest techniques in berry farming and advice on innovations.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Agriculture/Horticulture.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in strawberry & blueberry farming.
  • Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) and fertigation practices.
  • Experience in polyhouse or protected cultivation is a plus.
  • Strong observational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on-field and travel if required.
