We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Engineer with deep experience in Yocto Project BSP developmentfor ARM-based platforms.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining custom Linux distributions, device drivers, and system components that power our intelligent embedded devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Yocto-based BSP layers for ARM and NXP platforms.
  • Configure and integrate Linux kernel, device tree, and drivers for custom hardware.
  • Design, implement, and debug Linux device drivers and board bring-up code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Optimize bootloaders, kernel performance, and system startup.
  • Maintain build automation, version control (Git), and CI/CD processes for embedded systems.
  • Document design decisions, system configurations, and release notes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Yocto Project and Embedded Linux development.
  • Strong command of C programming and solid understanding of embedded system design.
  • Good proficiency in Python for scripting, build automation, or testing.
  • Practical experience with Linux kernel, device tree configuration, and driver development.
  • Familiarity with ARM-based architectures (preferably NXP i.MX series).
  • Comfortable with Git, shell scripting, and cross-compilation toolchains.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills using tools like JTAG, UART, or logic analyzers.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with U-Boot, systemd, and bootloader customization.
  • Experience with wireless interfaces, SPI/IC/UART, or Ethernet drivers.
  • Familiarity with containerized build environments or CI pipelines.
  • Exposure to RTOS, Bare Metal, or industrial communication protocols.
