Partner with the bestAs a Lead Database Administrator, you should have strong experience as a DBA, including hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle Administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting on premise as well as Cloud.
As a Lead Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing database projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders
- Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management
- Directing and coordinating the activities of the database team, including DBAs, developers, and analysts
- Fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective communication within the team and with other departments
- Providing mentorship and support to team members, promoting professional development and best practices
- Acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors
- Managing stakeholder expectations, providing regular updates, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly
- Identifying and assessing project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and managing risk throughout the project lifecycle
- Resolving conflicts and issues that may impact project success, ensuring timely and effective solutions
- Ensuring that database solutions meet quality standards and align with organizational goals
- Overseeing testing and validation processes to verify that deliverables meet project requirements and performance criteria
- Managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting
- Allocating resources efficiently, balancing project demands with team capacity and capabilities
- Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews
- Generating and presenting project reports to senior management and other stakeholders
- Evaluating project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement
- Implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance future project performance and team effectiveness
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a graduate in Computer Science, IT or similar or demonstrate equivalent professional work experience
- Have minimum 10-12 years of experience in the database domain
- Have proven experience in leading and managing large-scale database implementations and migrations
- Have a strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and related tools

Experience:
- 10-12 years of experience in the database domain
- Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale database implementations and migrations
- Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and related tools
