Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Procurement:

Identifying and selecting suppliers for static equipment components and materials.

  • Negotiation and Contract Management:

Negotiating favorable terms with vendors, including price, delivery, and payment.

  • Technical Evaluation:

Evaluating technical specifications of static equipment to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.

  • Vendor Management:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality.

  • Inventory Management:

Tracking and managing inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure availability of required materials.

  • Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Cost Reduction:

Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures in the purchasing process.

  • Project Support:

Providing support to project teams by ensuring timely availability of required equipment and materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is typically required.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Understanding of static equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with vendors.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including vendors, project teams, and management.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and other relevant software tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., ASME, API, TEMA).
