We are proud to deliver Project Management Services to the Rail Land Development Authority (Indian Railways) for three major railway station projects: Mumbai, New Delhi, and Ahmedabad. Our involvement spans the entire project lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive support throughout each stage of implementation.

We are seeking applications for the position of KB2 - Lead Design Manager (Structures) for Project "Redevelopment Project of CSMT Railway Station and construction of associated infrastructure, RLDA."

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers responsible for developing structural designs, drawings, and specifications for the CSMT Project Mumbai. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of design activities.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to develop conceptual and detailed structural designs for new construction, renovation, and restoration projects within the CSMT redevelopment scope. Ensure designs adhere to project requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct structural analysis and engineering calculations to assess the performance and stability of building structures, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and facades. Ensure designs are optimized for safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and optimization to enhance the cost-effectiveness and performance of structural designs. Explore innovative materials, construction techniques, and design solutions to achieve project objectives while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
• Implement quality assurance processes to review, validate, and verify structural designs and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations governing structural engineering and construction in India.
• Foster collaboration and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to integrate structural designs seamlessly with other project components. Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve design-related conflicts or issues as they arise.
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to structural design and construction activities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address structural integrity, stability, and performance concerns proactively.
• Ensure the safety compliances, conduct safety training as per group policy mainly 3S training.
• Ensure every team member must have gone through Business Ethics and compliance training
• Ensure every project member has knowledge of Environment policy of company.
• Ensure each member of team has gone through 9 lifesaving rules
• Everyone had gone through the Anti-Corruption training.
• Instigate and organize information and training sessions dealing with health and safety,
• Organize risk assessment for the workplace
• Ensure and manage fire protection, make arrangements for first aid, evacuate plans, organize and take part in evacuate exercise.

Profile/Skills

• Education qualification – Masters in Structures
• Years of experience – 10+ overall experience
• Similar Position experience - 3+ Years
• Similar Project experience - 5+ Years (Similar Projects - (i) Construction of Passenger handling terminals i.e. Railway Stations, Metro stations, Stations of RRTS / HSR / Monorail, Airport Terminals, Bus Terminals. OR (ii) Construction of commercial/institutional real estate project (such as Educational Institution, Hospital, Hotel, Convention Centre, Shopping Mall/ Shopping Complex, Sports Complex, Office Complex) having RCC framed structure or steel structure, internal water supply, sanitary installation, internal electrical installation, HVAC, substation, fire-fighting and lifts/escalators, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
• Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decisions and be a good troubleshooter.
