Roles and Responsibilities

Formulate annual and semester-wise NSS activity plans in accordance with NSS policies and Organise regular and special camps, awareness programmes, and outreach activities in collaboration with community partners to address social issues such as health, education, environment, women empowerment, and such others

  • Enrol, guide, and motivate student volunteers for NSS activities and Maintain records of volunteer participation and Mentor volunteers for leadership roles and participation in state/national level programmes.
  • Liaise with local government bodies, NGOs, and community organisations for collaborative programmes.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and proper utilisation of NSS grants as per NSS guidelines and Submit periodic reports (monthly, half- yearly, and annual)
  • Attend orientation and refresher courses for NSS Programme Officers conducted by Empanelled Training Institutions and Organise training and awareness sessions for volunteers on various social, cultural, and environmental issues.

Educational Qualification: Postgraduate / Graduate degree from a recognised institution.


• Experience: Prior involvement in NSS, NCC, or community service programmes preferred.
