Job Description – Senior Design Engineer

Ambar Group – Nashik

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join Ambar Group's engineering and new product development team. The role involves leading the design and development of closed-die forged and precision-machined components, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities


• Develop 2D/3D designs for forged and machined components.


• Create and review forging die designs, including preform, blocker, and final impression.


• Conduct feasibility studies, draft analysis, and DFM/DFMEA activities.


• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.


• Coordinate with customers for design approvals and technical clarifications.


• Collaborate with production, die shop, quality, and tool room for trial and validation.


• Optimize existing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.


• Lead engineering projects and guide junior engineers/designers.


• Support NPD activities from concept to PPAP/production release.

Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (preferred).


• 5–8+ years of experience in forging or precision component design.


• Strong knowledge of closed-die forging processes, tool design, and GD&T.


• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar).


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.


• Ability to work cross-functionally and handle customer interactions.
