Roles and Responsibilities
- Having hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of a solar plant, especially with a minimum capacity of 50 MW, entails expertise in the following areas:
- Adding value to the operation and maintenance (O&M) of 220/33 or 110/33 kV pooling substations requires expertise in managing high-voltage (HV) systems that ensure efficient power transmission and grid connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Monitoring:
Tracking and optimizing plant performance using SCADA or other monitoring systems.
Analyzing generation trends and identifying underperforming assets or areas.
Preventive Maintenance:
Implementing regular inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure maximum plant efficiency.
Managing vegetation control, panel cleaning, and infrastructure upkeep.
Corrective Maintenance:
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to inverters, transformers, switchgear, and PV modules.
Handling emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, grid codes, and environmental norms.
Preparing performance and maintenance reports for stakeholders.
Team and Resource Management:
Leading a team of technicians and engineers for smooth O&M operations.
Managing spare parts inventory and procurement processes.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaising with utility companies, contractors, and third-party service providers.
- Handling grid interconnection issues and ensuring grid stability.
7. Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems specific to solar power plants.
- Familiarity with O&M software and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards for large-scale solar operations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
