Anesthesiologist Required In NEW ZEALAND

Job Description:

Evaluate patients' medical histories and perform pre-anesthesia assessments to determine appropriate anesthetic plans.

Administer various types of anesthesia, including:
-
General anesthesia
-
Regional anesthesia (e.g., spinal, epidural, nerve blocks)
-
Local anesthesia with sedation
-
-
Monitor patients' vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, oxygen saturation, etc.) throughout the procedure.
-
Make real-time decisions to address any complications such as hypotension, allergic reactions, or respiratory distress.

Ensure safe recovery from anesthesia in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
-
Provide post-operative pain management and critical care in ICU or recovery settings.
-
Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of anesthetic procedures, medications, and patient status.
-
Work closely with surgeons, operating room nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure patient safety.

Comply with safety standards, infection control practices, and hospital protocols.

Educate patients about anesthesia options and potential risks, obtaining informed consent.
