Role & responsibilities :-

  • Material Sourcing: Identify and source raw materials required for machining, injection moulding, rubber moulding, and investment casting operations, including metals, plastics, rubbers, and other specialized materials.
  • Supplier Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating terms of purchase, delivery timelines, and price structures.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Assess and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery performance. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and deadlines
  • Inventory Monitoring: Oversee and manage stock levels, ensuring an adequate supply of materials without overstocking or running out of critical items.

Replenishment Orders: Forecast material requirements in collaboration with production teams and place purchase orders to meet production demands on time

Documentation & Reporting

Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring that all procurement transactions are properly documented and compliant with company policies.

Supplier Performance Reports: Monitor and report supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. Propose actions for continuous improvement based on these metrics.

Inventory Reports: Prepare and present regular inventory and procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, costs, and material needs

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchase order processing, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Effective management of multiple procurement projects simultaneously
  • Good Communication & inter-personal skills.
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Leadership skills & strong organizational and time-management skills
