Were looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented interns to support our Memes and Taxonomy team. This role is ideal for someone who loves internet culture, has an eye for patterns and tagging, and is curious about how content powers AI/ML systems. The retainer will play a key role in curating metadata, verifying content, and rating generated memes to improve model accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Memes & Content Verification

  • Review and create accurate metadata and corporate use-case examples for our meme templates (static + GIFs – currently ~7,300 and growing).
  • Source and suggest new meme templates from current trends.
  • Continuously verify and refine metadata as new content is added.
  • Rate and review generated memes to assist in model fine-tuning for higher accuracy and contextual relevance.

Taxonomy & Tagging

  • Verify and tag data based on themes and topics to support content taxonomy development.
  • Assist in preparing high-quality, structured datasets for model training.
  • Maintain consistency and clarity in tagging logic.

Ideal Candidate Profile for Ops Intern

We're looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented interns to help us build a robust metadata system for MINIs, our AI-powered content feed featuring memes, articles, videos and web stories. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Deep Understanding of Internet Culture: You should live and breathe internet pop culture, with an innate understanding of current meme trends, their origins, and the nuanced ways they're used across various online platforms. Your knowledge of different meme templates and their diverse applications will be crucial.
  • Comfort with AI Tools: Familiarity and hands-on experience with the latest large language model (LLM) tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity etc are highly desirable. This will enable you to quickly adapt to our AI-powered metadata generation processes.
  • Experience in Meme Curation (Preferred): While not mandatory, having experience managing a social media page (like Instagram, Twitter, or similar platforms) dedicated to memes would be a significant advantage. This demonstrates practical exposure to meme curation and audience engagement.
  • Strong Foundational Education: A bachelor's degree in any field is required. This indicates a solid academic background and the ability to learn complex concepts and apply critical thinking.
