About the Role- Azure Cloud Engineer

Lumen is embarking on a multi-year journey to modernize and move forward with Microsoft Azure. We are looking for an outgoing energetic person to help pave the way to our exciting new future. The Azure Cloud Engineer (ACE) will be a key member of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). Our ACEs will provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architecture, and more. Through cloud engineer's guidance, we will ensure our teams have excellent experience in building, modernizing, migrating, and maintaining applications in our hybrid multi cloud environment. The cloud engineer also serves as a guide and subject matter expert elevating the overall cloud capabilities within Lumen. 

Required Skillset:

  • Build/Deploy/config/test Tools: Jenkins, TFS, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, SonarQube.
  • Azure Infrastructure: IAAS likeVM, Vnet. PASS services like AKS, ACI, Cosmos DB,App Service,App Gateway, Azure Function,Azure SQL, Azure Monitor, Storage Account, App Insights, Managed Identity,Key Vault,Even-Grid, Even-Hub, Service Bus, LogicApps. Vnet.
  • Azure Networking: Vnet, Subnets, PLE, NSG rules, WAF.
  • Azure DevOps: Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Azure Artefacts & Azure Test plans.
  • IACTools: ARM Template, Terraform, Yaml Pipeline
  • Scrum Tools –Remedy, Jira, ServiceNow.
  • Version control tools: Git, Artifactory, TFS, VSS.
  • Monitoring: Splunk, Azure Monitor.
  • Scheduler: UAC, Crow jobs, windows scheduler.
  • Languages: Basics of Shell Scripting, Python, .Net, Gherkin,and Yaml.

    OS: Windows, UNIX.
  • Database: SQL, Oracle.
  • File Transfer tools:FileZilla,WinSCP, SLL control, Putty.
  • IDE: IntelliJ, Eclipse, Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio.
