Job Description:

Northern Trust is expanding its Technology team at Northern Operating Services Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Core, Hibernate, Struts/Spring MVC, WebLogic to design and develop scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & develop Spring REST APIs as per technical specifications.
  • Work on JSP, JSTL, JavaScript for UI development.
  • Ensure code quality, standards, and perform testing.
  • Collaborate with team and communicate project status to management.
  • Continuously improve application stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Support migration of legacy applications to REST-based microservices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years in Java, Spring Core, Hibernate, Struts/Spring MVC, WebLogic.
  • Strong SQL / Oracle knowledge.
  • Experience in multi-tiered system design & architecture.
  • Familiar with Agile / SDLC practices.
  • Knowledge of Java 6 features, Java Collections.
  • Experience with Checkmarx / Sonar vulnerabilities and fixing them.
  • Familiarity with Dispatchers, IOC, AOP, Bean Creation, State Management.
  • Basic working knowledge of React or Angular.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred / Additional Skills:

  • Experience in Banking/Financial domain.
  • Experience in migration of legacy apps to REST microservices.
  • Worked in sprint model using ADO tool.

Education:

  • B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or related field
