Connectivity Lead

We are seeking an experienced Connectivity Lead specializing in WiFi and Bluetooth technologies to lead connectivity development efforts within our automotive projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, validation, and integration of wireless connectivity features, ensuring robust, secure, and automotive-grade wireless communication in vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and integration of WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity modules for automotive systems such as infotainment, telematics, and connected services.
- Define technical strategies and architectures for wireless connectivity aligned with automotive standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, software engineers, hardware teams, and testing to deliver end-to-end connectivity solutions.
- Oversee implementation of wireless protocols, profiles, and security features to meet automotive-grade performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Manage connectivity-related risks, issues, and troubleshooting efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity guidelines.
- Lead validation and testing of WiFi and Bluetooth functionalities, including interoperability, performance, and security testing.
- Mentor and guide team members on connectivity technologies and best practices.
- Interface with suppliers and third-party vendors for module procurement, certification, and integration support.
- Drive continuous improvement in connectivity development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in WiFi and Bluetooth protocol stack development and integration within the automotive or embedded systems domain.
- Strong understanding of wireless communication standards, protocols a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Classic, BLE), and security mechanisms.
- Experience with automotive connectivity platforms and middleware.
- Familiarity with automotive standards like ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Proficient in embedded software development (C/C++) and debugging tools.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automotive infotainment, telematics, or ADAS connectivity solutions.
- Knowledge of certification processes for wireless modules (FCC, CE, automotive certifications).
- Familiarity with cloud connectivity and over-the-air (OTA) update mechanisms.
- Experience with Bluetooth and WiFi coexistence and optimization in embedded environments.
