We are currently seeking a SQL Developer to join our team in Remote, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing MS Access databases to understand data structures, relationships, queries, forms, reports, and VBA code.
• Design and implement optimized SQL Server database schemas, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions, to replace Access functionality.
• Develop and execute data migration strategies, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, to transfer data from Access to SQL Server.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration, implementing validation checks and reconciliation procedures.
• Refactor or rewrite VBA code from Access forms and reports into appropriate SQL Server or application-level solutions.
• Optimize SQL Server database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and end-users to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure a smooth transition.
• Document database designs, migration processes, and any new functionalities implemented in SQL Server.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for issues arising during and after the migration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex MS Access databases, including VBA programming.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server database development and administration, including T-SQL, schema design, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data migration methodologies and tools.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
• Ability to analyze and transform data effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
