Senior IoT Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior IoT Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:
As a Senior IoT Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project of renewing and modernizing an embedded firmware and software platform, making it future-proof, flexible, and ready for connected product innovations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead firmware development for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment

• Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems without supervision

• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software

• Interface with hardware design and development

• Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources

• Integrate and validate new product designs

• Support software QA and optimize I/O performance

• Provide post-production support

• Assess third party and open source software

• Apply state-of-the-art embedded systems design to solve business problems

• Perform research and develop proof of concept prototypes

Requirements:

• Ability to think in an analytic and structured way

• S/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• 5+ years of proven working experience in hardware and software engineering

• 5+ years of solid programming experience in C/C++

• Experience with Cortex M0/M3/M4/M7, Nordic nRF5 SDK, networking (Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee etc.), MCU peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC, timers, etc.)

• Proven experience in embedded systems design with RTOS

• Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets

• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, bug tracking tools, and peer review

• Experience with GCC, IAR ARM Workbench, Eclipse

• Experience with Linux kernel, low-level OS/platform, and understanding of Unix internals

• DSP expertise and strong theoretical background

• Knowledge of Python for test script extension and development

• Understanding of Git workflow

• Ability to mentor junior and intern teammates
