Role Overview:

As a Merchant at ZYOD, you will be the driving link between our buyers, design, sourcing, and production teams. Youll manage the complete merchandising cycle from product development to final shipment — ensuring smooth execution, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end merchandising operations for assigned buyers.
  • Coordinate with buyers for product development, costing, sampling, and approvals.
  • Work closely with design and sourcing teams to ensure alignment on product requirements.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors and buyers.
  • Monitor production schedules and maintain Time & Action (TNA) calendars.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance as per buyer standards.
  • Manage communication and updates across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, fabric innovations, and competitor activity.
  • Support the business team in new buyer development and order growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in Apparel Merchandising (Export or Domestic).
  • Sound knowledge of fabrics, trims, production, and garment construction.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and merchandising tools (TNA management, costing sheets, etc.).
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work under tight deadlines.
