Responsibilities of Lamitubes Operators
Machine Operation & Setup
Operate lamitube heading, capping, or packing machines as assigned.
- Carry out machine start-up, shutdown, and changeovers as per SOP.
Ensure correct parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, alignment) are set before production.
Production Monitoring
Continuously monitor tube quality (diameter, length, print, shoulder, cap fitting).
- Detect defects such as delamination, smudges, or misprints.
Ensure line efficiency and minimize downtime.
Quality Control Support
Perform in-process checks as per standard test procedures.
- Segregate and record rejected material.
Report abnormalities to supervisors or QC immediately.
Material Handling
Load raw materials (ABL/PBL laminates, caps, masterbatch, inks, adhesives) correctly.
- Maintain material traceability (batch numbers, usage logs).
Prevent wastage and handle materials with care to avoid contamination.
Maintenance & Safety
Conduct routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of machines.
- Report breakdowns or mechanical issues promptly.
Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines, including PPE usage.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily production records (output, downtime, rejection, consumption).
- Ensure compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
Assist during audits by providing accurate operational data.
Teamwork & Coordination
Coordinate with QC, Maintenance, and Supervisors for smooth production flow.
- Train or assist new operators when required.
