Role & responsibilities
- Responsible for Procurement of items from International Suppliers
- Development of alternate local source for Imports
- Making & Issuance of Purchase order
- Knowledge of Imports and Export Documentation and Rules regulations and closely working with Customs house agents for on time shipping and clearance of goods
- Identification of Potential Suppliers, Vendor selection, assessment, acceptance.
- Supply Chain Optimization, Supplier Delivery & Quality Improvements
- Optimization of Supplier Base.
- Costing and rate finalization of development items & Negotiation of prices.
- MRP, Min-Max & Kanban Planning
- Ordering on established Suppliers & Expediting Supplies and ensuring timely Material Arrival
- Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Quality and Finance
- Addressing & reconciling of vendor payments
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Sound Knowledge in Import Material Planning & Procurement and Overall Commodity Exposure in Bought out items, Machining, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics Items, Rubber, Engine and Engine accessories.
