Job Description
  • Assist in identifying and assessing CwSN under the guidance of physiotherapists.
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized intervention plans based on need assessments.
  • Conduct therapy activities, including basic physiotherapy, mobility, and strengthening exercises at schools, SRCs, and home-based settings.
  • Build capacity of parents through guidance and practical support.
  • Conduct community awareness and sensitization programs to create a supportive ecosystem for CwSN.
  • Support the setup, use, and maintenance of assistive and adaptive devices (e.g., walkers, splints, seating aids) as prescribed.
  • Regularly follow up with children, teachers, and parents to monitor therapy progress and report to therapists.
  • Assist in distributing health, hygiene, and nutritional supplements to CwSN.
  • Support organization of training and sensitization sessions for parents, teachers, and peers on inclusive practices.
  • Guide parents on government social security schemes and benefits for CwSN.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to therapy services.
  • Ensure a safe, positive, and confidential environment while supporting children.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving rehabilitation and inclusive education services.
  • Stay updated on best practices and current research in inclusive education and child rehabilitation.
Accountability:
  • Report progress, challenges, and activities to the assigned physiotherapist or senior physiotherapist.
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting aligned with organizational goals.
  • Follow ethical practices, safeguard children's rights, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain transparency, ethical conduct, and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
Benefits
  • Certificate Course in Rehabilitation Therapy (CCRT) or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years of experience working with children with special needs (fresher candidates with strong commitment may be considered).
  • Skills in basic therapy techniques, handling mobility aids, observation, and communication.
  • Ability to communicate in Kannada; basic English and Hindi is a plus.
