Job Title: Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Experience: 4 6 Years

Location: Pune (or similar metro location)

Shift: 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Platform Engineer with a strong background in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) to manage, configure, and support Kubernetes infrastructure in a dynamic, high-availability environment.

The engineer will collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure that the Kubernetes platform is reliable, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain platform services within Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Perform upgrades and patch management for Kubernetes and its components.
  • Monitor and optimize cluster resources (pods, nodes, namespaces).
  • Enforce security best practices such as RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
  • Collaborate with the security team to maintain compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related infrastructure issues promptly.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to developers and DevOps teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and operational processes.
  • CI/CD pipeline support is not part of this role's day-to-day scope.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years managing and supporting Kubernetes clusters at platform level.
  • 2+ years of infrastructure management (SSL certificates, virtual IPs, networking).
  • Proficiency with tools such as kubectl, Helm, or Kustomize.
  • Strong experience with Docker and container lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog for monitoring.
  • Understanding of centralized logging tools (Fluentd, Logstash, Loki).
  • Solid scripting ability in Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Strong Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work in global shift rotation.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification required.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) is an advantage but not a primary responsibility.
