Logistics Incharge

A vehicle in-charge (or fleet manager) is responsible for overseeing a company's vehicle fleet, which includes managing daily operations, maintenance, and driver staff. Key duties involve ensuring vehicles are properly maintained through scheduling inspections and repairs, monitoring vehicle performance and fuel efficiency, and maintaining detailed records. The role also includes supervising drivers, managing logistics and compliance, and implementing strategies to control costs and maximize efficiency. Responsibilities

• Fleet and maintenance management:
• Schedule and oversee all vehicle maintenance, including both regular checks and major repairs.
• Monitor vehicle performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with service vendors.
• Operations and logistics:
• Coordinate and optimize vehicle scheduling and dispatching.
• Implement and manage vehicle tracking systems.
• Ensure efficient route planning and fuel management.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all fleet activities.
• Staff management:
• Supervise and manage a team of drivers, ensuring they follow company rules and regulations.
• Conduct training for maintenance staff on new techniques and equipment.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback to both drivers and maintenance personnel.
• Financial management:
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities for savings, such as improving fuel efficiency.
• Manage departmental budgets and expenditures for parts and services.
