Key responsibilities include conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, identifying trends and patterns, collaborating with internal teams and clients to understand needs and risks, and developing clear, data-driven recommendations through reports and presentations. This role demands strong analytical, quantitative, technical, and communication skills, including proficiency with tools like Python and SQL, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation:

Apply quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze client and Mastercard data, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to solve business issues.

  • Solution Development:

Develop, implement, and scale analytical solutions for clients across various industries, translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations.

  • Client Engagement:

Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted partner to understand their objectives, needs, and risks.

  • Presentation & Communication:

Structure and deliver clear, impactful narratives and client-ready presentations and reports based on analytical findings.

  • Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, senior consultants, and global teams to develop analytics strategies and address client needs.

  • Information Security:

Adhere to Mastercard's security policies, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of data and reporting any suspected security breaches.

Essential Skills

  • Analytical & Technical:

Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques and tools such as Python, PySpark, SQL, and the MS Office suite.

  • Quantitative Skills:

Strong statistical skills for interpreting data and forecasting trends.

  • Communication:

Excellent oral and written communication skills to synthesize complex analyses and present clear recommendations.

  • Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify client issues, structure analysis, and develop innovative solutions.

  • Collaboration:

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong educational background, often in engineering (e.g., from an Indian Institute of Technology) or economics (e.g., from Delhi School of Economics).
  • Experience in performance analytics, data-driven insights, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and effort effectively within project constraints.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, if necessary, to deliver analytics projects.
