The Role
Thornton Tomasetti (TT) is seeking a structural steel detailer with computer programming experience to join the CORE studio Application Development team, a dedicated software development team focused on building custom applications for TT and our clients. You'll be a key part of the team supporting our Construction Engineering practice and working closely with other development teams within CORE studio. The goal of the position will be to develop and maintain Tekla Structures plugins, tools and customizations that provide value to TT's practices and technical staff. You'll need to be highly motivated and have demonstrated professional experience in developing novel computational solutions to engineering and/or design problems. You will work in a highly creative and collaborative environment as you support, build, and maintain applications for the broader staff.

Requirements

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Programming experience with C#.
• Proficiency with Tekla Structures, including API development and administration/testing.
• 5+ years professional experience as structural steel detailer in the building professions(US market).
• Schedule flexibility to maximize alignment with American time zones.

Additional Skills

• Understanding of WPF, MVVM, UI/UX design.
• Knowledge of SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit.
• Familiar with concrete and concrete reinforcement modeling is a plus.
