Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 4 - 8 years in procurement within the Industrial Automation/SPM industry.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, sheet metal fabrication, welding and structural manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for machining, sheet metal, fabrication and weldment components.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve optimal cost savings.
  • Collaborate with design, production and quality teams to ensure component specifications and standards are met.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and manage purchase orders through ERP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in the supply chain process.
