ROLE

Level: Consultant / Senior Consultant

As an experienced Consultant / Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. On a requirement basis consultants will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to build and understand the functional requirements.

Capability Focus will be on Product Management, Functional Analysis and Requirements, Operating Model Transformation, Process Transformation and Business Architecture.

The work you will do includes:

• Perform primary/secondary research, analyze structured and unstructured data, develop technology product vision and requirements and lead or guide technical teams for developing functionally targeted products in the Insurance industry
• Develop strategic insights or scenario specific business cases for new technology platforms for the client based on operating model analysis for clients to solve existing problems or prepare for the upcoming business and technology trends in the market
• Own and manage specific work threads of a larger consulting engagement; participate in interviews, workshops, training sessions, and support team and client through the project
• Facilitate project management activities including project status updates, business metrics & KPI development
• Gain domain knowledge, and contribute to developing "thought ware" and "point-of-view" documents, and tools / methodologies specific to your industry domain
• Assist in Proposal Development and Orals

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Project Experience: Experience working in insurance industry with hands-on exposure towards core transformation (e.g., policy admin, claims, new business), operating model transformation, business architecture, program/product management, with an understanding of systems, data domains and functional processes.

Must Have:

• 1-3 years (for Consultant) / 4-7 years (for Senior Consultant) of hands-on experience working in Consulting/ Corporate Strategy/ Business function in the Insurance industry domain
• Analytical and hypothesis driven problem-solving approach, process and operations analysis, processing and analysis of large financial and non-financial data sets
• Experience in business analysis, identifying business requirements from diverse stakeholders, understanding user journeys and functional processes
• Experience in leading work threads independently, reporting and owing end-to-end deliverables
• Clear and concise communication: strong written and verbal communication skills – participate in client interviews, workshops/training and present recommendations
• Experience working with technical delivery and/or product teams
• Core Consulting skills like good executive presence, analytical thinking, logical structuring, and team dynamics
• Experience in roles focused on:
• Any functional area from new business underwriting, claims, product architecture, policy administration, functional processes, market dynamics and current trends across US Insurance Landscape – life & annuity, property & casualty or reinsurance sub-sectors (OR)
• Insurance focused solutions and core platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Sapiens, DuckCreek, Majesco, etc.)

(OR)

• Exposure to emerging technologies and its application in solving business problems (e.g., GenAI, digital transformation, etc.)
• Exposure to working in non-India geographies (preferably the US) and / or interacting with global stakeholders

Good to Have:

• Experience working with agile methodologies, delivery models and tools

Education:

MBA or equivalent from a premier school in India or abroad

Prior Experience:

1-3 years (for Consultant) / 4-7 years (for Senior Consultant) experience of working with Top tier management / strategy consulting firms or Corporate Strategy, internal consulting, or business function roles in leading global / Indian insurance organizations
