Job Overview:

We are seeking talented and motivated Ruby on Rails Software Engineers to join our global MNC team at our Bengaluru office. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Opportunities are available for professionals with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.

  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow between front-end and back-end systems.

  • Work with relational databases (RDBMS) and optimize queries for performance.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an Agile environment.

  • Participate in story point estimation, sprint planning, and code reviews.

  • Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with best practices.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following OOP principles.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by actively participating in retrospectives and suggesting process enhancements.


Must-Have Skills:

  • 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

  • Strong experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.

  • Proficiency in working with RDBMS (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB).

  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and story point estimation.

  • Good understanding of application security best practices.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.

  • Knowledge of TDD/BDD testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest).


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to Python for scripting or integration tasks.

  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Building AI Agents for RoR web applications
