Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Engineer specializing in Cloud and Infra Management. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding and expertise in IT asset management, service configuration management, and software asset management (SAM).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular audits of installed software across the organization to ensure license compliance.
• Remove software at the end of the allocation period using automated scripts.
• Utilize shell scripting and batch file scripting to create software uninstallation scripts.
• Develop Intune compliant software installation packages for easy and efficient software deployment.
• Generate software utilization reports using Intune, providing necessary insight into software usage patterns.
• Approve software requests based on the availability of licenses, or forward them for procurement when necessary.
• Actively track the usage of software across the enterprise, ensuring optimal use of resources.
• Monitor software license renewals and initiate their support purchase requests (PRs) in a timely manner.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in Service Configuration Management, ensuring the accurate setup and control of services within an IT environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in IT Asset Management - Hardware Asset Management (HAM), including tracking and managing physical hardware assets.

• Proficiency in IT Asset Management - Software Asset Management (SAM), including managing and optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software applications within an organization.

• Expertise in scripting languages like Shell scripting and batch file scripting.

• Extensive experience in Intune or similar software for managing mobile devices, apps, and data for an organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in a similar role managing IT assets, service configuration, and software asset management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
