To design and deliver integrated STREAM learning experiences that align with the IB PYP framework, fostering inquiry, creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning for students from early years to Grade 5.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning & Delivery
Plan and implement engaging STREAM lessons that align with the PYP transdisciplinary themes.
Integrate Science, Technology, Reading/Literacy, Engineering, Arts, and Math into age-appropriate inquiry-based units.
Use hands-on activities, experiments, maker tasks, design challenges, and creative projects to enhance conceptual understanding.
Incorporate digital tools, coding basics, robotics, and simple engineering concepts where applicable.
Facilitate inquiry, exploration, problem-solving, and creative thinking in students.
Encourage student-driven investigations, questioning, and reflection.
Support the development of ATL skills—thinking, communication, research, self-management, and social skills.
Create a safe, stimulating, inclusive, and resource-rich learning environment (lab, maker space, or classroom).
Maintain STREAM resources, tools, and materials responsibly.
Ensure safety protocols during experiments and hands-on tasks.
Design formative and summative assessments aligned with PYP expectations.
Document student progress using portfolios, rubrics, checklists, and reflective tools.
Provide constructive feedback to students and timely updates to parents.
Collaborate with Homeroom Teachers and Specialists to integrate STREAM within Units of Inquiry.
Participate in planning meetings, PYP workshops, and professional development sessions.
Support school events, exhibitions, and STREAM-related showcases.
Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
Motivate students through interactive challenges, competitions, and creative problem-solving tasks.
Promote curiosity, innovation, and a growth mindset.
Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering/Education (mandatory).
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
Experience teaching in an IB PYP school or familiarity with inquiry-based learning.
Experience with basic robotics, coding tools, STEM kits, or maker education is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of hands-on and experiential learning.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Creative, innovative, tech-friendly, and student-centric approach.
Ability to integrate multiple disciplines into cohesive learning experiences.
Collaborative, reflective, and committed to IB philosophy.
