Energy Storage Engineer Renewable Energy

Job Description:

The Energy Storage Engineer designs and integrates battery storage systems with renewable energy installations to enhance reliability, grid stability, and energy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and size battery energy storage systems (BESS) for solar/wind projects
  • Evaluate storage technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries, etc.)
  • Develop control strategies for charge/discharge cycles
  • Integrate storage with inverters and energy management systems
  • Conduct performance testing and reliability analysis
  • Collaborate with vendors and EPC teams for installation and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with safety and grid standards

Qualifications:

  • B.E./BTech in Electrical, Electronics, or Energy Engineering
  • MTech in Power Systems or Energy Storage (preferred).

Skills:

  • Battery modelling and simulation tools
  • Knowledge of BMS, EMS, and SCADA systems
  • Understanding of grid integration and load balancing
  • Safety standards and thermal management
