Job Description: RMC Batch Plant Operator (Ready-Mix Concrete)

WORK LOCATION - AMRAVATI MAHARASTRA ADANI PLANT

Job Summary:

The RMC Batch Plant Operator is responsible for operating and managing the computer-controlled batching system to produce Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) according to specified mix designs, while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Plant Operation: Efficiently operate the automated batching system to accurately proportion and mix cement, aggregates, water, and chemical admixtures.

* Quality Control: Read and interpret computer orders/mix designs, and make necessary adjustments to material proportions (especially for aggregate moisture content) to maintain the required concrete slump and quality.

* Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily pre-operation checks, routine lubrication, and minor maintenance on plant equipment (conveyors, mixers, silos, etc.). Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues promptly.

* Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of all raw materials (cement, sand, aggregates) and admixtures, and notify the supervisor/supplier for timely ordering.

* Loading & Dispatch: Coordinate with truck drivers to ensure accurate and timely loading of RMC into mixer trucks.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate daily records of materials usage, production output, and maintenance activities.

* Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere strictly to all plant safety protocols, perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures when required, and ensure the plant area is kept clean and organized.

Required Qualifications & Skills

* Education: High School Diploma or ITI/Technical Secondary Certificate (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).

* Experience: Previous experience (e.g., 2-3 years) operating a ready-mix concrete or batching plant is highly desirable.

* Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in operating computerized batching systems.

* Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude for minor repairs and maintenance.

* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

* Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift moderately heavy objects as required for plant operations and maintenance.
