Job Description:

As an Electrical Shift Incharge for a Ferro-Alloys plant, you'll oversee and direct electrical activities during your shift, ensuring smooth operation, adhering to safety standards, and managing resources effectively, while maintaining quality and production targets. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight:
    Supervise and monitor all electrical aspects of the ferro-alloy production process during your shift, ensuring equipment functions optimally.


  • Safety Compliance:
    Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures related to electrical equipment and processes.


  • Problem Resolution:
    Address and resolve electrical issues or malfunctions that arise during your shift, potentially requiring troubleshooting and quick repairs or equipment shutdowns to prevent serious issues.


  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure long-term reliability.


  • Production Scheduling and Efficiency:
    Ensure smooth operation of electrical system and coordinate with other shift incharge to ensure optimal production.


  • Communication and Coordination:
    Collaborate with other departments and shift personnel to maintain a smooth and effective operational flow.


  • Record Keeping:
    Maintain accurate logs of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents that may occur.


  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise and guide junior electrical personnel, ensuring they are trained and perform their duties effectively.


  • Quality Assurance:
    Contribute to maintaining the quality of ferro-alloys by ensuring proper operation of electrical processes that influence the alloy composition or processing. 



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and processes used in ferro-alloy production.


  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
    Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems quickly and efficiently.


  • Safety Expertise:
    Thorough knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures related to electrical work.


  • Maintenance Planning:
    Experience in planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities.


  • Leadership and Supervision:
    Ability to effectively lead and manage a team of electrical personnel.
