Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liquid Filters Design Engineer to join our Maintenance Components Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design with a specialized focus on liquid filtration systems. This role demands technical expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of engineering principles to develop innovative and efficient filter solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of liquid filter products from concept to production.
• Apply advanced mechanical engineering principles to optimize filter performance, durability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and manage detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using Creo.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and validation testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Provide technical support for existing products and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years focused on liquid filters.
• Proficiency in Creo for 3D modeling and design documentation.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with FEA and CFD tools.
• Familiarity with ISO and ASME standards related to filtration systems.
• Exposure to automotive, industrial, or consumer applications of liquid filters.

Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.

• Develops improvement plans for senior management and evaluates the outcome of the design against the functionality.
• Advises others on the development of multiple products and their functionality.
• Trains others on advanced tools and approaches of product design.
• Monitors the processes and procedures of a complex product design to ensure functional requirements are met.
• Evaluates feedback from customers and consults on functional weaknesses.
• Controls design and development costs of a proposed product through effective resource coordination.

Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Builds three-dimensional models with basic materials.
• Communicates with professionals to understand various requirements of product design.
• Tests and evaluates alternative means of production being considered for use.
• Uses automated tools to design or modify the design of a product.
• Assists in building a complex prototype of product.
