Role & responsibilities

IB Economics

• Analyze microeconomic and macroeconomic models.
• Evaluate real-world economic issues using economic theory.
• Study key topics: scarcity, supply & demand, market failure, inflation, unemployment, international trade, development economics.
• Apply quantitative methods such as diagrams, data analysis, and written evaluations.
• Complete three Internal Assessment (IA) commentaries on real-world economic news articles.
• Prepare for externally assessed papers, including case-study analysis and essay writing.

IB Mathematics (AA/AI)

• Demonstrate understanding of mathematical concepts across algebra, functions, calculus, statistics, and probability.
• Solve problems using analytical and/or technological tools (e.g., GDC).
• Apply mathematics to real-life scenarios and modeling.
• Complete an Internal Assessment: the Math Exploration, involving investigation and personal engagement in a math topic of choice.
• Prepare for rigorous external assessments (Paper 1: non-calculator / Paper 2: calculator-based).
